A Nissan Silva Coupe with a Schizophrenic Personality

In October of 2010 we brought you a Toyota Soarer / Lexus SC that had been transformed into an abomination with a Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM front end and a Nissan 200SX rump. It was bad, but I still liked it better than the snooze-mobile that was the ‘91 Soarer / CS.

Well, from the same website that brought us that automotive mullet comes yet another creation that’s been refashioned into something else. This time its a Nissan Silva. This particular freak of coach building features a Mercedes-Benz rear end (or at very least the taillights) and Nissan 350Z front end. The result is less than impressive.

I don’t know what’s worse – the matte white that makes the car look like it’s still in primer or the cacophony of weird vents jutting out of the plastic snap-on bodywork. Despite the owner’s best efforts, the rear bumper clearly doesn’t fit, jutting out beyond the rear wheels and necessitating the addition of those awful rear bulges. Mitsuoka could do better with a Nissan Micra and papier-mâché.

Though don’t take my word for it. Study the pictures and deliver your verdict in the comments section below.

Nissan 200SX Mobile BBQ Trailer

If you happen to have a mullet and a lifeless Nissan 200SX -or any car for that matter- laying around somewhere and you don't know if you should get rid of it or make something useful out of it, here's a 'nifty' idea; how about chopping it in half and transforming it into a mobile BBQ-trailer with an integrated tailgate grill? What an attention grabber...

Awesome Hand-Built Nissan 200SX Track Car

Nissan 200SX Track CarThanks to the internet, we're constantly learning about the accomplishments of truly gifted individuals that build awe-inspiring projects in the garage of their own home. This stunning Nissan 200SX track car is the result of three years of blistering hand work by a member of the UK-based enthusiast forum, 'SXOC' who goes by the nickname "CravingImpact". Everything you see in these pictures was hand built or modified by the vehicle's owner including the front splitter, the rear diffuser and various body panels! -Continued

Nissan 200SX Track CarAlthough the aerodynamic add-ons haven't been tested in a windtunnel (apparently) for their effectiveness, the owner claims that he tried to "use basic principles in the design which are tried and tested and hopefully cant fail". "Like my diffuser for example, its only angled up at 7 degrees which is said to be a good starting point," he said in his post.

Even so, seeing how he managed to transform a road going Nissan 200SX into a beastly looking track car that makes us drool like a teen, we have nothing else but utter respect for him and can't wait to see what he has in store for the vehicle's mechanics in the near future.

2011 Nissan 240SX – Silvia and 2010 Micra Turbo Renderings

Nissan Silvia - 240SX and Nissan Micra TurboWe’ve lost track of the number of times we’ve seen renderings from Japanese publications showing what the Nissan 240SX / Silvia might look like when it debuts sometime in 2010/2011. In its forthcoming October issue, Japanese car magazine ‘Best Car’ takes another shot at the forthcoming 240SX / Silvia replacement that is said to be based on a modified version of the 350Z's FM rear-wheel-drive platform. Additionally, along with the new 240SX / Silvia photoshop, Best Car also shows a rendering of the next-generation Micra (March in Japan) and in particular, the range-topping sport version. Speculation is that the sport Micra will be equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine powering the front wheels. -One more pic after the jump

Video: Insane Nissan 200SX with Turbocharged BMW M5 Engine

While not underpowered, the 1990's Nissan 200SX S13 with its 205Hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engine could have done with a few more extra horses under its hood. But these Swedish guys took the phrase 'a few more ponies' to the extreme by swapping the 200SX's 4-cylinder unit with a 315Hp 3.6-liter straight-six from a 1990's BMW M5 E34.

And if that wasn't enough, they also added a Garret GT45 turbocharger on the bimmer engine. We don't have any output figures but that Bavarian-powered 200SX S13 sure sounds sweet! Images and video right after the jump. -Continued

Project from Hell: Nissan 240SX “El Camino”

For most of us, the Nissan 240SX would be one of the last cars on earth that you'd think of transforming into an El Camino-style, pickup truck. But not for Mike who, along with a bunch of friends, decided to 'truck' his 240SX and incorporate a cantilever suspension.

According to VWvortex forum member 'doc.crush' who participated in the home-made project, the car is almost ready as the motor is going in this weekend, along with other goodies. Hopefully we'll have pictures of the finished 'satanic' 240SX next week. -More images after the jump
