Steinmetz Spiffs Up New 2010 Opel Astra


Opel tuning specialist Steinmetz introduced some tasteful mods for the new Astra hatch at this week's 'Tuning World Bodensee 2010'. These include a front spoiler and a rear wing plus new upper and lower front grilles finished in black.

Other tuning options include a new lowering kit that brings the compact hatch 30mm (1.2 inches) closer to the road and two 19-inch alloy wheel designs, both of which run on tires size 235/35 R19.

For the interior, Steinmetz offers a gear display which shows the driver the gear currently selected, floor mats with a stainless steel logo, and stainless steel sill trims.

Opel Agila Subtly Tweaked by Steinmetz

Sometimes it's better to not go overboard with your tuning proposals as not everyone wants to transform their vehicle into a wannabe race car. For the new Opel Agila, German tuning firm and Opel specialist, Steinmetz, limited its offerings to a new set of fifteen-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels shod in 195/40 R17 tires, a suspension lowering kit that brings the mini 30mm closer to the ground, a chrome tailpipe and decorative trim for the center console plus an aluminum gear knob and a four-piece mat set.

Opel Insignia Sport Package by Steinmetz

Opel Insignia Steinmetz While the new Opel Insignia has been praised by many for its sensual styling, German tuning house Steinmetz believes that there's still room for plenty of visual enhancements. The complete styling package from Steinmetz consists of a blacked-out front grille, front and rear spoilers, twin-tailpipes, body stripes and 20-inch alloy wheels that are available in white or anthracite finish. The package can be complemented with a lowering kit for a more aggressive stance. Steinmetz will reveal its new offerings for the Insignia at the 2008 Essen Motorshow on November 28.

Opel Corsa OPC 202Hp by Steinmetz

Due to make its first public appearance at the German tuning show “Tuning World Bodensee 2008” that runs from May 1 to 5, the Steinmetz prepped Opel Corsa OPC has been mildly enhanced with minor mechanical and cosmetic upgrades.

The smallest member of the Opel OPC family has gained an extra 10 Hp -thanks to the use of the new left/right silencer system, raising the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine’s output to 202 Hp. The tuning firm has also added a lowering kit that brings the Corsa OPC 30 mm nearer to the tarmac. -Continued

In terms of aesthetics, the Corsa OPC by Steinmetz is distinguished by the new honeycomb grille, a 2-piece front spoiler, the side strips in silver or anthracite and the aluminum filler cap complemented by a new set of 16 to 19-inch alloy wheels. Finally, the interior is enhanced by the stainless steel Steinmetz foot mats.
